Brighton - let’s rock again!
After a really good time at The Great Escape Festival last year, Übermut project is coming back, supporting talented artists from Germany, that will showcase their music and rock the stages:
Ilgen-Nur is 22 years old and moved from a small town near Stuttgart to Hamburg a year ago. She sings about the fears of a young one and an uncertain future, but also about the nice little things in life - like riding your bike on a sunny day, wearing smudged lipstick but still feeling beautiful. Relaxed and with a disarming honesty she inspires her audience. Come around and listen to her words and music.
The Berlin based band Odd Couple brings a very special kind of garage rock to brighton: The East Frisian experts for weird pairings are now officially a trio and continue to innovate the German rock genre in a nonchalant way. You have to see it.
And there will also be Hello Piedpiper and Xavier Darcy, showing their talent, brought to town by RockCity Hamburg, VPBy - Verband für Popkultur in Bayern e.V. and Pop NRW - Nachwuchsförderung für junge Musiker in NRW. The three german federal states team up another time to bring those four talented bands to Brighton after a very successful TGE showcase in 2017.
when: friday, 18th of may 2018
where: The Hope & Ruin. 11-12 Queens Road, BN1 3WA Brighton
Each of the bands will also perform a second time in the core program of TGE, more infos here!
